Mix of spices for Stampot Zuurkool (mashed potatoes with sauerkraut).




  • 1.5 kg potatoes
  • 500g sauerkraut
  • 200ml milk



  • Peel and wash the potatoes.
  • Put potatoes and sauerkraut in a pan with a layer of water and cook for 25 minutes.
  • Drain potatoes and sauerkraut, mash finely and stir with milk and a knob of butter until smooth.
  • Add the mix and let the stew warm through and through.
  • Do not add salt or pepper.
