Return Policy

The Dutch Shop will refund any purchase made within 14 days excluding exceptions.
Customers must provide a receipt and the original product in order to receive a refund.

For online orders, return shipping may be provided by The Dutch Shop depending on the circumstances. To request a return, please contact us.

Sale items will be refunded for their purchased value, regardless of current sale status.


  • Any product including Meat, Cheese or frozen products that have passed their expiry date as written on the label
  • Frozen or refrigerated products that have not been properly stored.
  • Clearance items



The Dutch Shop and strive to provide the best shipping options at the lowest cost. Our shipping is calculated automatically based on the products ordered and the distance travelled. If you feel we have made an error in shipping charges, please contact us here.

Our shipping is currently handled by Canada Post.

Where do you ship to?

We can ship anywhere in North America and are proud to have shipped to all 13 Provinces and Territories. We also ship to the USA, and have sent parcels to California, Florida, and New York among others.

Who do you ship with?

Currently all our online packages are sent via Canada Post.

Do you offer free shipping?

As an independent small business, we do not have access to the distrubtion networks that make “free” shipping possible. In reality, free shipping does not really exist, but larger corporations are able to leverage their networks to drive down their costs.

We believe it is better to have our products priced fairly online and be transparent about our shipping costs, and as such we do not offer free shipping at this time.

Why do I only see In-Store Pickup as a shipping option?

This happens most commonly for 1 of 2 reasons: invalid address or invalid cart. Please double check that your address is entered correctly. For help, you can search your address on Canada Post here and copy it directly.

Please also check that you do not have any items in your cart that are in-store only.

I do not have a Paypal account, can I still buy online?

You do not need a Paypal account to check out but all of our online transactions are currently facilitated by Paypal. If you do not have an account, you can simply enter your card details after clicking "Buy".

How does Pick Up In Store Work?

Once you place a pickup order, you will receive an email letting you know when it is ready to pick up. Once your order is ready, just come in to the store and ask a staff member, and they will retrieve your order for you.

Is there a way to track my order?

You will receive an email with a tracking number when your order has shipped. Please note that it may take a few days for your tracking information to update.

My order has not arrived yet, what can I do?

Due to COVID-19, we are seeing a lot of delays with Canada Post as they work through their backlog. As of yet all of our orders have arrived, albeit later than they normally would.

In the unlikely event that your package never arrives, after 30 days it is declared lost and your order will be fully refunded.
