Koopmans Apple Crumble Cake Mix 400g

  • 1 Package Koopmans Appelkruimeltaart
  • 100g cold butter or margarine
  • 1 medium egg
  • 850g soft, sweet apples, sliced into small pieces (roughly 5 apples)
  • 50g raisins
  • 20g sugar
  • 2-3 tsp cinnamon
  • 30cm pan, preferably spring form


  • Soak the raisins in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes. Drain and dry.
  • Peel the apples, remove the core and slice into small pieces.
  • Mix the apple pieces with the sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 350°. Place rack in middle position.
  • Grease the cake pan with butter, or use cooking spray.
  • Cut the butter in small pieces and place in a bowl.
  • Add the mix and beat until crumbly.
  • Add the egg and beat briefly.
  • Place the dough in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Place 3/4 of the dough in the pan, pressing down lightly and up the sides about 3cm.
  • Place apple mixture over the dough and top with remaining crumbs.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool 1 hour.
