Koopmans Appelkaneel Apple-Cinnamon Cake Mix 400g

  • 175g butter, room temperature
  • 4 medium eggs, room temperature
  • 1 large apple
  • 30cm cake pan, preferably spring form


  • Pre-heat oven to 325° (F). Place rack in middle position.
  • Grease the cake pan with butter, dusting with flour, or use cooking spray.
  • Peel the apple, remove the core, and slice into small pieces (1/2-1 cm).
  • Beat the butter until soft and creamy.
  • Add the cake mix and the eggs, one at a time.
  • Beat at lowest speed for 1 minute.
  • Beat at highest speed for 2-3 minutes, until better is light and airy.
  • Add the apple pieces and the cinnamon sugar to the batter and mix well with a spoon.
  • Place batter in pan, and bake 60-75 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 3-4 minutes before removing from pan. 
  • Allow to cool completely.


  • You can also make cupcakes. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
