Mix for Dutch butter cake shortbread (boterkoek).



  • 1 package Gwoon Boterkoekmix
  • 185 g soft butter or margarine
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten


  • Pre-heat oven to 350°. Place rack in middle position.
  • Grease a 24 cm spring form pan.
  • Combine the mix, butter or margarine and half the egg in a bowl.
  • Beat with a mixer, preferably with dough hooks, until smooth.
  • Spread dough over bottom of pan, pressing down lightly.
  • Spread remaining egg over top of the dough.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden.
