Gwoon Appeltaart Apple Pie Mix 400g

  • 24cm springform pan
  • 1 package appeltaartmix
  • 160g soft butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 4-5 sour apples (about 1 kilo)
  • 75g raisins
  • 50g sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 50ml warm water


  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Wash the raisins and soak in warm water for 15-30 minutes.
  • Grease the inside of the springform pan.
  • Mix the appeltaartmix, butter and 3/4 of the loosely beaten egg in a bowl.
  • Mix with electric beater on low (preferably with dough hooks), until a dough is formed. If the dough is too soft, place in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Place 3/4 of the dough in springform pan.
  • Drain the raisins and peel the apples, slicing them into small pieces.
  • Mix raisins, sugar, cinnamon and apples together.
  • Spread over dough in springform pan.
  • Roll out the remaining dough and cut into 2cm strips.
  • Lay these over the filling.
  • Brush with remaining egg.
  • Bake on middle rack 60-70 minutes
  • Cool for 1 hour before removing from springform pan.
